While researching Open Source Cooking, I stumbled upon distributed hosting, and making here some notes on the information found so far.

 

— Decentralized File Hosting —

The Interplanetary File System (IPFS) is a distributed file hosting system. It is used to host distributed web pages, offers lots of applications extensions.

Web pages are accessed via your local node or any of the available central gateways:

User friendly domain names can be introduced with DNS TXT IPNS Records by adding a dnslink to the domain record.

Creating of web pages can be aided using Webpack and some of its plugins (1, 2).

OrbitDB is a decentralized data base with conflict free synchronization mechanism. It can be used to build decentralized apps (dApps), blockchain applications and offline-first web applications.

IOTA is an open data and value transfer protocol with trustworthy tamper-proof data, feeless micro transactions, low resource requirements, and no mining.
